Samsung Galaxy A70 recently bagged the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update in Ukraine and Turkey.
While the wait for the latest OS update was still on for the Galaxy A70 units in the U.S., it has finally come to an end for some users.
As per a recent report from Reddit, the Galaxy A70 units have started receiving the One UI 3.0 (Android 11) update in the U.S.
The OS update appears to be for the Comcast variant of the Galaxy A70, so users can expect a wider rollout in the coming days.
The update version A705USQU1DUC3 is live and can be grabbed by the Comcast Galaxy A70 users.
It must be noted that the Ukrainian and Turkish variants of the device in question got the One UI 3.1 update whereas the Comcast variants are getting One UI 3.0.
This might be because carrier variant updates are separate from the standard device variants for numerous reasons.
Nevertheless, it is good to see that the OEM is upgrading its eligible devices with the latest OS update.
While Samsung has promised to provide three major OS updates to several Galaxy A series devices, the Galaxy A70 is not among them.
Samsung was expected to release the Android 11 update for the Galaxy A70 and A80 between March 30 and April 30.
This clearly shows that the OEM intends to stick to that schedule. Hopefully, the remaining Galaxy A70 variants will also receive the latest OS update soon.
That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide more details once new information becomes available.
