There are new updates that have been added at the bottom of this story…
Epic Games is going to release a new Fortnite content update today. The upcoming update for the game will bring a slew of changes to the game, including the addition of a new trap. It is also expected to bring some map changes to the game.
Fortnite content update v10.20 will arrive on September 3 at 8 am ET. The best thing about this update is there is no downtime, which means the update will not interrupt the players enjoying the game. Patch notes will be made available just before the release time of the v10.20 content update. Have a look at the official tweet below which confirms the schedule & timings of the update.
In a previous update to the game, the activated Rift beacon at ‘Paradise Palms location’ brought the all-new Pandora Rift Zone. In Season 10, we have seen changes to many popular Fortnite locations, including Tilted Towers and Megamall.
In today’s content update, we can see the return of Kevin Cube. Leaks regarding the return of Kevin have been floating around for the past couple of weeks. Kevin Cube and the floating island can also be seen on the leaked loading screen of Week 6. Also, take a look at the video from the popular data miner, Fortory which hints at the return of Kevin Cube.
Kevin Cube first made its appearance during Season 5, and it travelled to many areas on Fortnite map, leaving ‘runes’ behind. Kevin ended its journey at Loot Lake with a fascinating in-game live event. The news of Kevin Cube return has already excited many Fortnite fans.
Fatal Fields Rift beacon has become active, and a rift is forming right above it, which possibly hints that we can see some changes at the Fatal Fields location. Have a look at the changes that are currently happening at Fatal Fields location.
Apart from Kevin Cube arrival rumours, today’s update is also bringing a new trap item to the game called Zapper trap. The new trap is already showing in the in-game news feed. The description of the new Zapper trap reads the following :
“DANGER: HIGH VOLTAGE,” reads the in-game description. “Trap ’em and Zap ’em.”
According to the official description, the trap is expected to electrocute players when someone steps over it. It is unclear whether this new item will only trap players or will also deal damage to them. More information about this new trap will be revealed when the new update goes live.
