Fitbit is one of the most trusted and reputed fitness tracker brands. The company has several premium products that will cater to the needs of most fitness enthusiasts.
The Fitbit Charge 4 is an aggressively priced fitness tracker that offers advanced features such as inbuilt GPS, 24.7 Heart Rate tracking, and sleep tracking.
Many people use Fitbit to track their sleep every night. The Fitbit app shows users their Sleep Score when they use the band regularly.
Having said that, a lot of Fitbit users have been facing several issues such as the wrong floor count on the Fitbit Versa 3 and multiple connectivity issues on the Fitbit Luxe.
The latest issue affects Fitbit Charge 4 users who report they are Sleep Score isn’t showing up on the device.
Some users say that their sleep scores and stages aren’t being recorded every night and that Charge 4 records their sleep on random days.
All of a sudden my charge 4 is not able to show sleep score and stages. Says heart rate issue but if i go to heart rate graph there are no gaps. Sure there was a day or 2 with gaps, this i understand. but all of a sudden has not been able to give me detail for more than a week. Previously it was able to every day.

Hello. Wondering if anyone can help. I have had my Charge 4 since last December and used to get a sleep score 13/14 nights. Lately I am not getting a sleep score or data on the different parts of sleep (REM, deep sleep etc). I have only had a score 3/12 last nights. I am wearing the Fitbit 2 finger widths above my wrist bone as shown in the manual. I have it set to a certain time to sleep and wake plus I put it in sleep mode each night. I have the DND turned off. I have cleaned the band as instructed and the Fitbit part as well with alcohol swab. I am not sure what else to do. I do wake several times every night and have for many years with a quick get up and down each time. So that has not changed either in recent times. Any suggestions?

After several users complained about the Fitbit Charge 4 sleep score issue, the company acknowledged the bug and said they were working on a fix. However, there is no ETA on when it will be fixed.
In the meantime, a user has come up with a workaround that might work for some users.
According to the Fitbit community member, make sure you change the sleep setting from sensitive to normal and make sure your Charge 4 is in sleep mode before calling it a day.
Also, make sure that you do not mess with the Fitbit tightness at night time.
While this might work for some, most users will still be unable to check their sleep score. Even budget fitness trackers do not have such issues, which leaves us wondering why such issues plague Fitbit products.
Note: We have more such stories in our dedicated Fitbit Section and a dedicated tracker for issues plaguing various Fitbit devices so be sure to follow them as well.
