New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on May 12, 2021) follows:
eBay is one of the most popular e-commerce corporations across the globe. It facilitates business-to-consume and consumer-to-consumer sales via its website.
Its Standard Envelope option is one of the most commonly used shipping methods for coins and currency, trading cards, stamps, and postcards.
However, sellers have been facing some problems with the eBay Standard Envelope option while shipping consignments lately.
As per multiple reports, the eBay Standard Envelope option is not printing the envelope for orders.
Sellers are even reporting that the Standard Envelope option is working for some orders but not for all.
Crazy thing is I just got a sale about 20 minutes ago and eBay Standard Envelope worked but the 3 other orders from earlier in the day still are messed up

@eBay your site is broken. I sold 3 cards tonight, all eligible for eBay Standard Envelope, and one of them won’t let me generate the label.

This issue is causing a lot of inconvenience to sellers as other shipping methods cost more and might not be feasible for certain orders.
Users may not have face this problem for long as the company has acknowledged the Standard Envelope issue.
The official Ask eBay Twitter handle has said that they are aware of the issue and their tech team is working on a fix.
This is certainly good news for affected sellers as they might not have to face the aforementioned problem for too long.
However, this is still based on our speculation as eBay has not provided any ETA for the said fix.
Also, it is unclear what is causing this issue as the acknowledgement does not outline any details about the same.
Hopefully, the e-commerce giant resolves the issue soon so that sellers can ship consignments using the Standard Envelope option without any hassle.
That said, we will be back with more details as and when new information becomes available so stay tuned.
Update 1 (May 13)
