New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on November 24, 2022) follows:

Duolingo is undoubtedly one of the most preferred platforms when it comes to learning new languages in a fun, convenient, fast, and affordable way.

The app promotes the overall growth of an individual by focusing on reading, listening, and speaking skills. It offers almost 100 courses across 40 distinct languages to choose from.

However, learners are currently facing progress-related issues that are quite upsetting for them.

Several Duolingo users (1,2,3,4,5,6) have taken to social media platforms to report an issue where the Path UI update has completely or partially wiped off their progress.

Reports suggest that users have lost their years-long progress owing to the new update. It has further left many clueless as to where to start making up for the lost progress again.

It is quite disheartening for all dedicated learners to see years of hard work suddenly disappear.

It should be noted that the new ‘Path UI’ update received a lot of flak from a number of users in the past owing to its linear progression and constraint from choosing a preferred level.
