Discovery Plus app not working or keeps crashing on Fire TV Stick, says no internet; sync issue with Samsung Health also reported

Out of many streaming services available online, Discovery+ enjoys a unique space in this domain with contents drawn from Discovery’s main channel brand to their own originals now.

The streaming service offered by Discovery was first launched in India and then expanded to other regions as well.

Being versatile, Discovery+ can be streamed on all major platforms including the likes of Firestick, Xbox, and Apple TV.

But the app has gone wonky recently. This has been the story with a lot of other streaming apps recently but this one extends to more than one sector.

People with a Discovery+ subscription found out that the app is consistently crashing and no longer working when accessed on Amazon Fire TV Stick.

The app reportedly kicks out everyone who’s trying to sign in to the app. Here are the reports of what people have been facing.

In fact, uninstalling and reinstalling the app doesn’t work either. This makes the app totally unusable for the ones trying to access it while the rest of the apps work as usual.

Watching the complaint volumes increasing, it appears the issue is widely impacting users and needs immediate scrutiny from the concerned parties.

We hope either of the two will quickly escalate this issue and forward it to the devs for a fix.

Discovery Plus not syncing with Samsung Health

Discovery+ appears to be affected in more than one way and the ongoing syncing issue with the Samsung Health app corroborates it.

Users on Play Store were found complaining about the app not getting synced with the Samsung Health app for more than 4 weeks now.

Please. How long does it take to fix bugs. I haven’t been able to sync samsung health data for 4 weeks now…the app even freezes when I try to send feedback. Installed it a couple of times

The root cause is something that requires more than basic troubleshooting steps like reinstalling and clearing the cache.

After leaving it unheard, Discovery+ support has finally broken the silence and is now seen assuring users that the issue is known and a fix is being worked upon.
