Discover is a popular name when it comes to financial services with millions of customers. Also, the Discover Mobile banking app is available on iOS and Android.

However, iOS users are having a tough time with the Discover Mobile app after the latest update.

As per multiple reports, it seems that Apple‘s Face ID feature is not working with the Discover Mobile app for iOS after the last update.

Basically, Discover Mobile iOS app users are unable to login using Face ID and its option no longer appears in the app settings.

The app settings only have the option for fingerprint unlock which is giving an error when selected. This might be because most modern iPhone models do not have a fingerprint sensor.

So @Discover you can’t do face ID anymore?

@Discover is Face ID removed from the iOS app? I can no longer use it to login and in the settings only gives an option for fingerprint (which errors when I tap on it since I can’t do that on my device). I deleted and reinstalled the app to no change

Also, workarounds like uninstalling and reinstalling the Discover Mobile app are not working for the said Face ID issue.

This is inconveniencing most users as they are having to manually log in to the Discover Mobile app.

However, affected users may not have to dwell with the said problem as it has been acknowledged officially.

According to the Discover Twitter handle, this appears to be a known issue and it is currently being looked into.

This further means that a fix for the said issue with Face ID might arrive in the near future.

However, this is still based on our speculation as the official acknowledgement does not include any ETA.

That said, we will report back with more details as and when we get new information to share so stay tuned.
