This is why Apple iPhone users have the option to disable emergency and public safety alerts along with Amber alert.

So, let’s take a look at how to disable an Amber alert on an Apple iPhone along with other emergency and public alerts.

In order to stop Amber alert notifications, head over to the Notifications settings from the iPhone Settings app.

Once in the Notifications settings, scroll all the way down to the Government Alerts section.

This section includes three options namely AMBER Alerts, Emergency Alerts, and Public Safety Alerts. Disable the alerts as per convenience and that’s about it.

Nevertheless, such emergency notifications can come in quite handy especially when an incident has occurred nearby.

With the help of these alerts, one can swiftly inform the emergency services in case of child abductions or get notified in case of natural disasters and other calamities.

However, it must be noted that not all regions or countries provide public safety and Amber alerts. Also, it might not be possible to disable Government Alerts in some countries.
