New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on December 8, 2022) follows:
Destiny 2 arrived in 2017 as the direct sequel to the franchise from the original creators of Halo saga: Bungie. Although the game had a rocky start, its move to free-to-play increased its popularity significantly.
The game stands out for its rewarding gunplay and visual section, although it has not been free of bugs. Players have reported issues such as multiple connection error codes, stuck updates, and more.
Now, some Destiny 2 players are dealing with an issue where the Seasonal Artifact mods are bugged, not equipping or even not showing up.
Destiny 2 Seasonal Artifact mods bugged, not showing or equipping
Destiny 2 Artifacts are basically legendary-rarity items whose characteristics can be boosted using ‘seasonal mods’. Seasonal mods are unlocked as you earn experience points.
The Destiny 2 Seasonal Artifact mods allow you to significantly increase the power of your weapons. However, they are reset at the start of each new season.
That said, according to multiple reports, an issue is preventing some Destiny 2 players from being able to equip Seasonal Artifact mods in the slots where they used to.
Overload Grenade and Unstoppable Melee mods seem to be only available on Artifce slots?
No clue if anyone has run into this issue since it’s so early in the season, but a friend and I were doing Heist Battlegrounds and he unlocked the Overload grenade mod, proceeded to not be able to find it on any cloak on any element.

Currently, affected players can only equip the Seasonal Artifact mods in the extra Artifice slots. On the other hand, the Seasonal Artifact mods are completely missing or not showing for others as well.
Lord Kelvin’s Basilisk Mod – CANNOT FIND???
Unlocked Lord Kelvin’s Basilisk Mod on the artifact, trying to slot it into class item, cannot find it in menu… I’ve checked all 4 elemental types of class item, mod isn’t in the list of options on any of the slots…

Fortunately, the Bungie team is already aware of the bug and working on a fix. However, there is no ETA for its rollout yet, so affected players will not be able to use their Seasonal Artifact mods indefinitely.
We will update this story as new developments related to the matter emerge.
Update 1 (December 15, 2022)
02:24 pm (IST): Several Destiny 2 players have reported that the Seasonal Artifact mods are still broken, since they do not appear or cannot be equipped on class items (1,2,3,4,5).
