It is also available on numerous streaming devices and some gaming platforms including Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, PlayStation, Roku, and more.

@Crunchyroll hey I am having trouble getting blue lock to play on my roku. It seems to be the only one that won’t play. Please help

Anyone else noticing that the @Crunchyroll app on the @Roku is not working at all I’ve went almost two weeks and missed so many episodes cause it just won’t load
Source

It seems that the app has recently stopped loading videos and remains stuck on a black screen.

The issue is only limited to Roku as the videos are loading perfectly fine on mobile and other devices.

Some users are also getting an error message that says ‘Crunchyroll Application Error’.

Everytime me and my friends use the Roku App for Crunchyroll the videos don’t seem to run and after waiting long enough we get the application error that doesn’t what went wrong.

Users have tried clearing the cache and resetting factory settings but to no avail. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app doesn’t seem to fix the issue either.

Unfortunately, the developers haven’t commented on the issue where Crunchyroll is not working or loading videos on Roku.

We have also not come across any workaround that can help fix the issue temporarily. So, affected users will have to wait for the team to come up with a definitive fix.

We’ll keep tabs on further developments and update the article as and when something noteworthy comes up.

Update 1 (November 02, 2022)

05:15 pm (IST): According to a user, the issue where Crunchyroll is not working or loading videos on Roku devices started from the 11.5 app update.

So, if you haven’t updated the Crunchyroll app you should avoid doing so, as there is no way to rollback. There is also no official word from the Roku team or Crunchyroll team with an ETA for a possible fix.
