Oppo has been rolling out the Android 10-based ColorOS 7 update for some time. Devices including Oppo F9, Oppo F9 Pro, and many more have already received the latest update from the OEM. Among the many features of ColorOS 7 is Oppo Service or Focus mode.

Google’s Digital Wellbeing app brought ways to use smartphones more efficiently. And with the introduction of Focus mode, Google offered a distraction-free experience. While most Android smartphones have this tool, there are some exceptions.

Focus-Mode-1

Focus mode basically allows you to select apps that you find distracting so that you can focus on the task at hand. The tool doesn’t allow distracting notifications from the selected apps by pausing them.

While most Oppo devices on the Android 10-based ColorOS 7 update have Focus mode or Oppo Service, there are some that didn’t get it. The tool is not offered to Oppo F9, Oppo F9 Pro, Oppo F7, Oppo F7 Youth, Oppo R15, and Oppo R15 Pro with the ColorOS 7 update.

Oppo took to Twitter and stated that Oppo Service was not included in the Android 10-based ColorOS 7 update so that users can have a better experience. However, the OEM didn’t give any specific reasons for not providing the tool to certain devices.

While Focus mode does come in quite handy especially when you are reading or playing games, Oppo appears to be having some issues with its Oppo Service on the ColorOS 7 update. However, this isn’t confirmed as the OEM hasn’t provided any details on the matter.

So, it’s hard to say whether Focus mode will be included for these devices in a future ColorOS 7 update or not. Meanwhile, we hope Oppo looks forward to providing Oppo Service in the future updates to devices that didn’t get it.
