Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on July 01, 2021) follows:
The COD Warzone Season 4 update was released on June 30 and brought with it 5 new weapons and multiplayer maps, new Points of Interests in Verdansk, and new quests in Outbreak.
Along with that you also get a couple of gameplay changes, regular bug-fixes, and of course, balancing changes. This season, you get balancing changes for both attachments and weapons.
The weapons in question are the Nail Gun from the SMG category whose max damage has been nerfed by 39% along with the C58 and FARA 83 assault rifles whose recoil has been increased slightly.
Unfortunately though, the update was pulled today purportedly due to a serious issue where an error message kept popping up stating that the Warzone update requires a restart.
However, the few players who had actually updated their COD Warzone to Season 4 have complained about the nerfs to the C58 and FARA 83 assault rifles saying that it just isn’t enough.
Just watched JGOD’s video and it looks like anyone with even basic recoil control can still beam out to about 100m with the Fara. It’s just beyond this it becomes less reliable.

They should nerf the damage just a tad I don’t mind a low recoil weapon that’s easy to use. The Grau is super easy to use past 100m as well and handles much better. The FARA just kills a tad too fast.

This is because the increase in recoil is purely vertical. And anyone with the slightest bit of experience with FPS games on any platform will agree that vertical recoil is quite manageable.
After all, all that needs to be done to counter the recoil is pulling down on the joystick or mouse.
So, in conclusion, the increase in recoil is still no good to balance the weapon’s power, or at least that’s what players seem to think.
As a solution, players have suggested lowering the damage of the FARA 83 and the C58 instead and pull it nearer to the Krig, if Raven is indeed committed to keeping the guns as low-recoil ARs.
It remains to be seen though if Raven will indeed be taking all this feedback seriously and will be pushing out the re-released version of the rolled back COD Warzone Season 4 update along with further nerfed FARA 83 and C58 guns.
If they do not, then guess we will have to wait for the next seasonal update.
Update 1 (July 19)
Popular YouTuber JGOD took to Twitter to share how broken is the 4x on C58. In no time Raven Software responded, acknowledging the issue and confirming that it should be fixed soon.
