The Call of Duty Warzone Season 4 went live today with a bunch of free new content including 5 new multiplayer maps, 5 new Weapons, new Points of Interests in Verdansk, and much more.
But what came as a surprise was fresh 120 FPS support on the PlayStation 5. Sure the console was always more than capable of running the game at the framerate.
However, the game was designed for the PS4 and its developers had earlier stated that they would need to make a native PS5 version in order to take advantage of such upgrades.
But that hasn’t been necessary, fortunately, much to everyone’s delight. Still, now that COD Warzone players on PS5 can play the game at the ultra-smooth framerate of 120, there has been a rise of another demand.
WE GOT 120FPS FOR WARZONE LESSS GO, now @RavenSoftware & @Treyarch all we need now is an FOV slider for console and believe me I’ll be on Warzone 24/7.

@RavenSoftware great job bringing 120fps to ps5 warzone, fov slider next hopefully. Good stuff.

Warzone players believe that since the PS5 is able to run COD Warzone at 120 FPS flawlessly, COD devs should now aim for the addition of an FoV (Field of View) slider as well.
Currently, the FoV is fixed to just 80 degrees. The inclusion of an FoV slider should allow its adjustment from 60 all the way to 120, just the way it is on PC.
And with a higher FoV, along with the obvious fun factor, you also get to see much more which is an added advantage. Hence, the demands.
Now, Raven Software had indeed confirmed a couple of months back that they will be adding an FoV slider to consoles. However, there hasn’t been any ETA given out to date so we are all still in the dark when it comes to that.
Still, it has now been proven that Raven can indeed implement major upgrades to COD Warzone for PS5 with backward compatibility enabled, so hopefully, we should be seeing an FoV slider soon.
But even if we do not get to see the slider on the PlayStation 4 backwards compatible version of COD Warzone, we will surely be treated to it with the upcoming native PS5 version, so let’s just wait and see.
