Here’s the crux of the article in video form:
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on March 28, 2023) follows:
Clash Royale recently received the new ‘Update for losers’ and it seems that players do not have the best things to say about it. While players already had low expectations for this patch, nobody thought it would be this bad.
The latest update is facing major backlash from the community and some are asking the developers to revert (1,2,3,4) to the previous state.
The ‘Update for losers’ makes significant changes to some of the most popular gameplay elements like the 2v2 party mode and the Pass Royale.
Clash Royale ruins the 2v2 mode
With this patch, Clash Royale developers decided to remove rewards (crowns/chests) from the 2v2 party mode. Which means that players no longer have any incentive to play the mode as it does not help them progress.
they literally ruined 2v2 you can’t earn crowns or chests anymore.

You killed the 2v2 mode with this joke. Thanks for nothing. After 6 years, I deinstalled it.

Supercell has also added a level cap to the mode and removed it from regular battles. It appears that the ‘Play again’ button is also missing from the 2v2 mode.
Due to these changes, not many players are queuing up for 2v2 matches leading to long queue times for those who are genuinely interested in playing the mode.
Some of them are so disappointed by the changes that they are considering quitting the game entirely.
Pass Royale criticized
The Pass Royale is basically the seasonal rewards pass for Clash Royale players. It is something that is eagerly anticipated and loved by a significant portion of the player base.
However, the new update seems to have messed it up (1,2,3) as well.
The new Pass Royale reportedly offers much less value when compared to the previous ones but comes at more expensive price tag. Players now have to grind a lot more to get the rewards as well.
The developers also removed some of the more valuable items like the magic rewards from the Pass Royale. The community is furious about these changes and are asking Supercell to fix these newly created problems.
We hope they listen to players’ feedback and make changes accordingly. We’ll keep an eye on this matter and update this story to reflect noteworthy developments.
