Cities Skylines recently received the v.1.16.1 patch that introduces 65 bug fixes and several in-game improvements. The update introduces new sorting filters which allow sorting roads by One-way vs two-way, decorations, and public lanes.

Gamers can now also filter public transport hubs By transport type, and the unique buildings of the Content Creator Pack.

DLCs like Africa In Miniature, Shopping Malls, Sports Venues CCPs, 80’s Movie Tunes, and many more were released alongside the patch as well.

However, some are unhappy as they are facing some issues with the game.

Cities: Skylines parking lots missing or not rendering properly

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple players are facing an issue where the in-game parking lots are missing or not rendering properly. Allegedly, some are even unable to find the newly added parking lots.

The issue has popped up after the recent update and affects gamers across multiple platforms.

One of the players complains that they can only see the new multistory parking lot in the menu after the recent update. They are unable to find small and medium parking lots.

Another gamer alleges that the decorative parking lots are missing after the latest patch. They also added that the game’s graphics quality has been affected as well.

Some claim that the buildings now have the lowest lod (level of detail). Gamers are now requesting the developers to resolve this glitch soon.

Fortunately, the Cities: Skylines support team on Twitter has officially acknowledged this issue and is currently investigating it. Although, no official ETA for the bug fix has been provided.

Cities: Skylines crashing or not loading

Skylines players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) are also experiencing crashing issues on the loading screen it self after the recent update.

Some speculate that the gamers’ systems may be running out of memory. Notably, the game has high memory usage, especially when additional workshop content is used.

One of those affected complains that the game keeps on crashing constantly after the update.

In this regard, a community manager says that it may be the case that some of the old mods are stopping the game from starting. They also mentioned that the modders are already working on fixes, but this might take a while.

So, we recommended that you try launching the game without mods using the ‘-disableMods’ launch option.

We do hope that Colossal Order fixes these issues soon.
