This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..

Original story (published on May 30) follows:

The Korean phone maker Samsung is usually at the forefront when it comes to pushing OS or monthly updates to its phones. The OEM’s latest Android skin, One UI 2.1, for quite some time now has been the show-stealer. But then, some still gawk the arrival of its predecessor One UI 2.0/Android 10.

It goes without saying while the updates hit some regions first, it takes time to make it to the other regions. And this has been the plight of Samsung Galaxy A70 users in Australia, who’ve been waiting for the Android 10-based One UI 2.0 ever since it first landed on the devices, back ion March.

One UI 2.0 (Android 10) update on Galaxy A70

For a quick recap, back in February, Samsung pushed the Android 10 update to Galaxy A70 units (though only a minuscule number got hands on it). Then in March, the update actually began to hit the units at a wider level. And then recently, it made way to Canadian Galaxy A70 devices too.

But like we said earlier, not all regions get updates simultaneously (which could be due to multiple reasone). And the same is the case with Australian users who’ve been waiting to experience Android 10 for months now.

Cut to now. And going by the latest reports, the Samsung Members app’s updated status conveys the Galaxy A70 will get upgraded to One UI 2.0 in the coming month, i.e. June, 2020.

Australian device users, of course, aren’t happy about this, as it’s for the third time that the update release has been pushed further. It was first expected in the month of April and then during the current month (i.e. May). But that never happened, and now it’s scheduled for the next month.

Here’s hoping, this time there aren’t any further delays. To conclude on a happy note, Samsung Galaxy A70 is eligible for the Android 11 based One UI 3.0 upgrade, though there’s no information as to when does Samsung plan to release it. Rest assured, we’ll be keeping a watch and will keep you informed.

Update 1 (June 20)

The Android 10 update for the Galaxy A70 is now live for devices in Australia.
