It’s understandable that Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 and ZenFone Max Pro M2 owners might be tired of waiting for the stable update to Android 10 operating system to begin rolling out.

Months down the line, not so many would be willing to put up with what owners of the device have been through. Unfortunately, there isn’t much choice but to wait for Asus to roll out the stable update to the duo when ready.

There was talk of a June 12 release date that never materialized. The rumor mills then crafted a June 20 release date, but in between, Asus support suggested that mid-June could be the much-anticipated release date of the software.

At this point, the availability date of the OS on the duo is anyone’s guess. But there are a few things that are shaping up to be true regarding the Max Pro M2 and Max Pro M1 Android 10 update.

Not long ago, Asus support revealed that the new OS will not bring support for VoWiFi (WiFi calling) function, native call recording, and native video calling to the ZenFone Max Pro M1.

In a related development, the company, through the ZenTalk forums, has also revealed that ZenFone Max Pro M1 and Max Pro M2 owners will not receive slow-motion video recording support as part of the switch to Android 10 OS.

Thanks for your suggestion. Sorry, after confirming with relevant teams, slow motion video is not supported.

Quite a major blow for those looking forward to this feature, but it’s likely due to hardware-related restrictions that the slow-motion video recording function won’t make it to the ZenFone Max Pro M1 and M2 sets.
