The social media platform Twitter is overcrowded with queries from the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and ZenFone Max Pro M2 device holders asking why is the company taking so long and not sharing any ETA for the advent of the stable Android 10 update.

User desperation seems genuine as both the ZenFone Max Pro kins, M1 and M2, received the beta for the Android 10, back in the month of January. Then somewhere during mid-March, it came to light that status clarity would arrive by the end of the month as the update was under evaluation.

This, of course, raised the hopes of those who’ve been waiting, but all in vain. Shattering the user expectations, recently, Asus’ Mobile Division personnel Olivier Vongxay conveyed indirectly that the stable Android 10 update for Max Pro M1 and M2 may not come anytime soon.

And now, the OEM has also confirmed the same by pushing Android Pie-based April security patches for both devices. Coming as build 16.2017.2004.063 (ZenFone Max Pro M1 ZB602KL) and 16.2017.2004.075 (ZenFone Max Pro M2 ZB630KL) the OTA brings the latest security patch i.e. of April along with the updated APN list.

Take a look at what the short and crisp common update changelog reads:
