A lot has been happening around the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 and Max Pro M1 units regarding the Android 10 updates. Both the devices picked up the Android 10 beta updates in January 2020.

ZenFone Max Pro M1 users were fortunate enough to grab the second beta (AOSP Based) developer preview version of the Android 10 update, recently.

As far as the stable Android 10 update is concerned for the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1, the update was postponed due to poor beta test results and Asus wants to bring the best Android 10 experience for the users.

However, we have reported earlier, that the update is expected to arrive in the middle of this month, which is almost here. But, it is unclear whether it is a beta update or the stable Android 10 update for the Max Pro M1.

On the other hand, talk about the ZenFone Max Pro M2, as per Asus customer support, the stable Android 10 update has already been released for the device. It turned out to be a false alarm, as there are no user reports confirming the same.

Fast forward to now, both the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 (ZB601KL/ZB602K) and M2 (ZB631KL) were spotted running Android 10 on the Geekbench listings, hinting that the Android 10 update is right around the corner.

Although it is nice to see both the Max Pro M1 and M2 showing up on the Geekbench listing Android 10, we would advise the Android 10 hopefuls to take this piece of information with a pinch of salt, as Geekbench listings can easily be doctored.

But, anything related to Android 10 for both the Asus devices is exciting and is surely bound to get the hopes high for getting the Android 10 update soon.

Now talking about the Android 11 update, as per the default update policy of Asus, it guarantees two major OS updates to most of its devices. This more or less, confirms that the Max Pro M1 and M2 won’t be picking up the Android 11 update as they came with Android Oreo out of the box and will receive their second OS update in the form of Android 10.
