Lately, frequent news regarding the Android 10 update for the Asus phones have been making rounds of the internet. On one hand, if we talk about the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 device, recently the 2nd Android 10 beta update (AOSP dev version) was pushed for the unit.

While the stable Android 10 update for the Max Pro M1 has been postponed further to mid-May because of the poor test results it garnered as Asus was not able to fix certain bugs and issues with the update.

On the other hand, talking about the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 phone, we have reported somewhere around mid-April that the OEM was working extensively to bring better Android 10 experience on the device and the update will take time.

This was more or less confirmed by one of the Asus’ Mobile Division personnel Olivier Vongxay. Because as per Oliver, the company does not have any scheduled ETA for rolling out the updates for either the Max Pro M1 or the Max Pro M2.

Fast forward to now, what might come as a surprise to the users of the Max Pro M2 is that as per a recent development, the Asus’ customer support has claimed that the stable Android 10 update has been released for the Max Pro M2 (ZB630KL) and users can update their phones right away.

Interestingly, none of the users of the Max Pro M2 have confirmed the reception of the Android 10 update and this is likely to be a false alarm.

What confirms this as a false alarm, is that when we checked the bios and firmware download page of Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2, the page does not convey any recent developments regarding Android 10 for the device.

So, all in all, it seems like the company is still working on the stable builds of the Android 10 update for the Max Pro M2, and clearly, the customer support has no clue about the status of the update.

So, we would advise the users to wait for any official confirmation and for that, keeping checking PiunikaWeb for more info.
