Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 users are a frustrated lot. This is in part, because the company, despite promising them a stable update to Android 10, hasn’t delivered it yet even many months later.
The Android 10 update for the Zenfone Max Pro M1 and its counterpart, the M2 appears to be closer than ever before. This is because there’s been a Geekbench listing spotted on the Geekbench database of this device running Android 10.
Luckily, ZenFone Max Pro M1 users don’t really have to wait for Asus to oblige. Thanks to the developer community and Asus releasing the kernel source code for Android 10, there’s no shortage of alternative firmware based on Android 10.
Now yet another Android 10 Custom ROM has been made available for Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1. PixysOS is yet another AOSP ROM that is now available for the ZenFone Max Pro M1. This ROM is feature-packed and can be ranked equivalent to Pixel Experience Plus Edition in terms of customizability.
This ROM brings all the Android 10 features including Dark Mode, Live caption, more Permission options, enhanced media playback control among many others, and many LineageOS 17.1 features and adds a few in-house tweaks like more fonts and a lot more customization.
This ROM is available without Google Apps and you can install them separately if you are so inclined. If you need the GApps, there is a separate build of this ROM that comes with them baked in. Below are the download links to both firmware for the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1.
