The Asus ROG Phone 2 was one of the most powerful Android phones to have been released in 2019. It came with Android 9 Pie pre-installed and has since then bagged the Android 10 update, albeit, after 9 beta builds.
Being a gaming-oriented phone, Asus did bundle in some useful features to enhance the gaming experience on the device. Further, it also gives users the option to choose between two UI styles — ROG UI and ZenUI.
While that sounds cool, ROG UI and ZenUI even when combined do not offer as many customizability options as some custom ROMs. So those who want total control over their device would still get a better experience using custom ROMs instead of the stock UI.
Luckily, the ROG Phone 2 has now got support for LineageOS 17.1 officially. Previously, we reported that the ROG Phone 2 received LineageOS 17.1 unofficially. Thus, those who were waiting for the official support to arrive can now rest easy.

Make sure to create a backup of all your files before you proceed to install LingeageOS 17.1 on your device. This new version was first released back in April and brought support for a host of devices. So it’s good to see the developers bring support to more phones.
Speaking of which, here’s a list of Samsung phones that have officially bagged LineageOS 17.1 support.
