[Updated] Asus ZenFone 6/Asus 6z Android 11 beta update won't affect VoLTE support, forum mod confirms

Google is about ready to release its latest OS version i.e. Android 11. Also, the tech giant released the Android 11 beta 3 update earlier in the month for its eligible devices. Now, OEMs like Asus are also gearing up for Android 11 with devices like Asus ZenFone 6, also known as Asus 6z.

We recently reported that Asus started the beta recruitment for the ZenFone 6 Android 11 update. This shows the dedication of OEMs to provide their eligible devices with the latest OS update as soon as possible.

However, users are a bit concerned about certain functionalities being affected because of the Android 11 update. A user recently took to the Asus ZenTalk community asking whether or not the Android 11 beta update for Asus 6z/Asus ZenFone 6 will affect the VoLTE support.

Also, the user wanted to know if Netflix will work with Android 11 beta or not to which several users responded stating that financial transactions apps and Netflix will not work on the Android 11 open beta as mentioned by the moderators.

The information about the Netflix and financial transactions apps support was already mentioned in the beta recruitment announcement. However, a moderator did confirm that the VoLTE support will remain intact on the Asus ZenFone 6/Asus 6z Android 11 open beta update.

A11 beta won’t affect Volte. If you have VoLTE now, then you should have it in the beta too.

This means that users will still be able to make HD calls on their Asus 6z with the latest OS beta update. As for the Netflix video streaming and financial transactions apps support, it seems that the OEM might have decided to disable these services due to the beta version’s stability issues.
