Ark: Survival Evolved first came out on Linux, macOS, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2017.

However, Xbox users are facing an issue where their single-player Ark: Survival Evolved save files are getting wiped.

It seems that the issue is only affecting Xbox users and a widespread fix for the same is required.

However, an Ark: Survival Evolved community manager has said that the issue is being looked into.

This further means that Xbox users may not have to wait for long before a fix for the save files issue comes out.

The official Ark: Survival Evolved Twitter handle has further tweeted that the developers have made some progress with the said issue.

Also, the fix has been submitted for certification and a patch will be released once it gets certified. Moreover, the developers have taken measures to make sure that issues like this do not occur again.

While this is good news for affected Xbox users, those who lost their save files or progress because of the issue will not be getting them back.

Unfortunately, the developers will not be able to restore the lost single-player game progress which further indicates that users may have to start over.

This is definitely a deal breaker for those who only play the game in single-player mode.

Hopefully, the developers release the said fix soon and also find a way to restore users’ lost save data.
