Ticketmaster presale-resale sequence makes users question if bots are service-owned; Harry Styles tickets not showing for many

We are all well aware of the entire Ticketmaster fiasco related to the Presale of concert tickets for artists like Taylor Swift and Tyler Childers and the controversy that ensued.

We saw how it promoted scalping of tickets on StubHub thus pushing many to buy resold tickets at higher prices. Later, Ticketmaster was called out for exercising opportunistic monopoly.

Following these incidents, the ticket distribution company apologized to those who had a terrible experience trying to purchase tickets.

Ticketmaster also clarified the reason as to what made the entire ticket distribution process so cumbersome, somehow blaming the bots.

However, many feel that these bots were originally put in by Ticketmaster to acquire the majority of tickets. And this eventually helped them garner even higher profits by reselling those tickets.

There were also cases where Ticketmaster prevented buyers from buying tickets or even accessing the site by labeling them as ‘bots’, therefore not even verifying them as humans.

Considering the previous events related to Taylor Swift presale, fans are ostensibly underwhelmed to see that Harry Styles tickets have also gone missing.

It’s surprising to note that the team hasn’t said anything about the issue where rescheduled Harry Styles tickets are missing.

Ticketmaster has also not refuted the allegations about bots being their own which in turn was responsible for the presale-resale events.
