If you are an indoor cyclist, you must have heard about the popular app Zwift. The app is designed to help you stay fit by playing some games.
Users can choose their own training plans, races, go on group rides, and enjoy the track of their choice.
There are various accessories you can connect to Zwift, which includes hardware such as a Controllable and a Power Signal.
Having said that, the company recently pushed an update to its app that brought in several improvements and fixed some issues. However, it looks like the July 19 update broke core functionality for some users.
Since the update, several Zwift users have reported they are having issues pairing their Power Source and Controllable separately. However, the issue only seems to be affecting Apple users.
On further investigation, we found that the issue was already bothering some users, but something in the July 19 update completely broke the pairing functionality.
Since this update I can’t connect my kickr to zwift via Bluetooth on my MacBook. My kickr connects fine using the wahoo app and I didn’t install the update on my iPhone and it connects via Bluetooth to my kickr fine. Very frustrating given that it was all working fine yesterday!(Source)
Prior to the latest update I was able to select my Smart trainer as both “Power Source” and “Controllable” and then change the “Power Source” to my Power pedals and have the my smart trainer remain connected to the “Controllable”. But now it seems I can only connect to either one of the “Power Sources” but not both. I’m doing this on my iPad. Anyone else having the same issue?

Zwift said they are aware of the issue and working on a fix. However, the company did not give any ETA.
Some users say that the previous version of the app works just fine. So, in case you haven’t updated your Zwift app, refrain from doing so until a fix is released.
We hope Zwift fixes the pairing issue as soon as possible so cyclists can work out while having fun.
