Apple Music is widely used across platforms like iOS, macOS, and Android because of the variety of music it offers among other reasons.

While Apple keeps on improving its music streaming app, Apple Music still has some flaws. Now, one such bug or feature related to album covers has come to light.

As per a recent Reddit thread, Apple Music users are noticing that tapping on the same album cover displays multiple animated covers in the iOS app.

This is confusing many Apple Music users as they are unsure whether these multiple animated covers for the same album is a feature or bug.

Apple has not made any comments on the matter so far which further adds to the mystery behind these animated covers.

Woah, you might’ve stumbled on something. Tapping the exact same way on the same album cover (Solar Power) opened up the album with two different animated covers? First time seeing anything like this. Wonder what’s going on…

This is a bug. I added the album and mine goes to the tribal artist cover for like a split second, then immediately goes back to the true animated cover.

While some users are liking these animated covers, others feel that it is a bug which needs to be fixed by Apple.

Users are even asking for a way to enable animated covers for which a workaround, which involves disabling the Reduced screen motion option, appears to be helping them.

This has created some buzz on the Apple Music subreddit as Apple Music users are divided between those who are taking these multiple animated covers as a feature and those who are disregarding the same as a bug.

To recall, Apple has been working on the dynamic album covers feature for Apple Music since at least December 2020.

Also, the feature arrived for the Apple Music Android app with beta 3.6.0. However, there has been no word on multiple animated covers for the same albums.

Hopefully, Apple clears the air around this topic soon or provides fixes for the same if it indeed is a bug.
