Apex Legends: Voidwalker patch data leak confirms lot of speculations

Apex Legends came out with the Voidwalker event on September 3 and with that came an update with lots of data to be mined out of the game files. With the update, one of the popular data miners of the game That1MiningGuy came out with tons of new information from the game files.

To start off, they’ve confirmed that files and data related to Crypto has certainly increased. Further, they went on to show the game files and data related to Crypto. This adds more weight to the speculation of Crypto being added to the game in Season 3.

The leakster further revealed that even survey beacons will be accessible to Crypto along with Pathfinder. Crypto can probably now hack the beacons to reveal when the enemy uses those beacons. Also, various animations for Crypto and his drone have been found in the data files of the Voidwalker update.

Also, the data miner also found code pertaining to PvE mode. While not much data was available, it seems that the PvE mode will be released as a part of event in Season 3. They also found tease tweaks related to Singh Labs. Maybe Crypto is trying to hack the panel to turn down that giant portal in Kings Canyon.

That1MiningGuy also traced new skydive emotes for characters, and interestingly Lifeline will be getting two new emotes this time. There could be a possibility that Season 3 features a Lifeline special event where players may get to see a new event special emote.

Moving on to the game sound files, new set of sounds pertaining to character 12 and 13 have been found. We know that character 11 is crypto but sounds of new characters have already been included in the game files. Also, sounds named ShadowLegend signal to a Halloween special event.

That1MiningGuy also explored the icons in the game files which revealed Crypto’s in game camera hud and visor icons. They also found an icon as per which it seems like Crypto’s computer is malfunctioning. This may be related to the cinematic of the Season 3.

Also, Charge rifle icon has been found in the game files, which means that we could be getting a new weapon in Season 3. New skins for various legends and weapons have been found as well. You can take a look at the full leak here:
