Apex Legends Season 5 Trailer potentially teases new map

Respawn Entertainment unveiled Apex Legends Season 5 in a theatrical trailer featuring new Legend Loba yesterday. From the evidence spotted in the trailer, it looks like Respawn is gearing up for launching the third map in future seasons or maybe in Season 5 itself.

Currently, no official confirmation has been floated regarding the new map, but if no landscape change happens in Season 5, the speculations could be turned out true very soon. In the past few months, there were rumors that a new Titanfall based map might come to the game, and now players have found the biggest clue involving this theory.

When the trailer launched, some players were able to spot a particular frame in the video. There was a mention of the homeworld of Octane – Psamathe. It is one of the planets from the series’s Solar System. Players felt the same intuition of a new map back in Season 3 when Respawn released a blog mentioning the planet. The specific phrase said: “Images of the disaster have been splashed across holo screens from Solace to Psamathe.”

In the trailer, the facility was submerged into the water by the Revenant’s attack, but we might get to see it very soon.

However, Respawn has yet to confirm the new map, till then take this as a grain of salt. Apex Legends Season 5 featuring new legends Loba kicks off from May 12, 2020. We saw Loba for the first time in Apex Legends Stories from the Outlands – “Legacy of a Thief”. In the trailer, we finally able to look at her abilities which are like this:

• Burglar’s Best Friend – throw a disc and teleport to that location
• Supply for Demand – Hold to choose a type of loot. Reveal that type of loot in the area around you through walls
• Eye for Quality – Loba can see through nearby walls for loot
• Black Market Boutique – Place a device that can steal all nearby loot.

Respawn releases a new gameplay video trailer every time before a new season. So, we can expect to see Loba’s abilities from more clearer view in the new gameplay trailer that can be released anytime before May 12.
