Apex Legends Ranked Arena matchmaking broken or bugged issue under investigation

Apex Legends is an online multiplayer battle royale game that offers fast-paced gameplay compared to other titles in the niche.

Developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by EA, it is set in the same universe as Titanfall.

The game is free-to-play and has millions of daily active users. Apex Legends was released back in 2019 and is currently available on PC, Xbox and PlayStation, and the Nintendo Switch.

Apex Legends offers multiple game modes catering to different players. After the game attracted millions of gamers worldwide, Respawn Entertainment added the much-requested Ranked mode.

The game starts with placing players in the Bronze league and rewards points on every match, which helps them progress to the next league. The highest league in the game is Apex Predator, which comprises the best players in the region.

Having said that, users are now reporting that the matchmaking algorithm is unfair at the moment. According to Apex Legends players, the Rankedmatchmaking is broken at the moment, with low-level players reportedly matching with high-level players.

I wanna enjoy apex but I always get the worst teammates and we get 3-0 every game bc I don’t have anyone to play with and it makes the game really unfun bc im lvl 500 with over 1000 kills on 2 characters and I always get lvl 10 teammates that don’t play with me and it’s really frustrating

Matchmakings nearly always been an issue in apex but ive never seen it so terribly implemented in ranked arenas. Im stuck between plat 2 and 3, roughly 80 percent of my games im matched with players lower than level 50, i dont know what their rank is but i cant imagine its anything above silver.

I know there can be smurfs too and ive seen a few but its mostly new players. I have no problem with new players playing whichever game mode they want of course, but its just so demoralising seeing 2 level 30 players on my team and a stacked party’ed up squad on the other. I know the classic stuck in plat meme but it feels worse than ever here.(Source)

This is really frustrating for players who are looking to rank up these days. Pitting experienced players against newbies is not good taking into consideration that the game is highly competitive.

New players do not enjoy the game, while high-ranked players can easily abuse the loophole to push their ranks further.

We think EA should look at the Apex Legends broken Ranked Matchmaking and work on fixing it in the coming days.
