Apex legends Iron Crown Event just got over and even before the players could finally get over the loss of the Solo mode, Respawn has dropped news of another event – Voidwalker event!
Similar to the Iron Crown event in which Octane took over a part of map and was renamed to Gauntlet, this event will be a Wraith special event where Wraith will take over a part of the map. The teasers were out on twitter. Take a look at the official Respawn’s tweet below.
The event – as the tweet makes it obvious – will feature Wraith’s Void tunnel but on a much bigger level. The event also features some more map changes that players will get to see once the update kicks in. But we are pretty sure that the area which Wraith will take over will be the one near Shattered Forests.
Respawn has made some big announcements also. They have listened to their player base & lowered down the high costs for the in-game cosmetic supplies. They have also increased the rewards which can be earned for free during this event.
A double XP for top 5 and wins weekend will also run from 6th to 9th September in which players can take advantage and rise up the battle pass ladder quickly. Contrary to the Iron Crown event, the cosmetics are up for direct purchase in the store.
Also, the skins can be crafted using the crafting materials as well. 6 new legendary items have been added for the event pool as well. So, look out for some cool skins in the event store!
The event also adds some story to the Wraith’s lore as well. The official Respawn statement about the event was

as Respawn explained in a recent blog post.
Jump in to discover for yourself the mysterious remains of the research site, including a functional prototype portal that can be used to get an early jump on the base – or to escape and reinitiate skydive. And be sure to keep an eye out for other hidden lore details.
This event comes in with a new special mode as well! It will be time limited like the solo mode in the Iron Crown event. The new mode called Armed and Dangerous will feature snipers and shotguns only and the loot will not be easy to find as well. Survive and become the ultimate squad!
