Apex Legends is into its Season 3 and we already have an event lined up for October 15 – The Halloween Fright or Fight event. The event will also come with a time limited mode called Shadowfall.
Now, as most of the fans would already know, the new limited time event mode will take place in night time of Kings Canyon. The new mode will be a first non-survival mode in Apex Legends.
In the Shadowfall mode, the players will drop down in Kings Canyon in the night time and will fight as in the normal mode. But once a player dies, they will be resurrected in the form of Shadow Legends. The Shadow legends will have more powerful melee attacks and will run faster as well. The Shadow Legends would be able to even jump higher.
The only drawback is they won’t be able to use weapons when resurrected as shadow legend. The final ten players alive would have to escape using dropship and the shadow legends will have to prevent it from happening.
The new mode has all the players excited about it. The devs in the Devstream posted on YouTube also revealed the first look of the new Kings Canyon. The new night mode looks really good with all the night effects and environment changes. Take a look at the new Kings Canyon here in the Devstream (The new map reveal starts at 12 minutes 33 seconds mark) –
Devs showed some aerial shots of the new map of some locations like Airbase and Bunker with the moon in the sky and an eerie mist surrounding the new map. The map creates the spooky vibe as per the event perfectly. The devs also talked about the new mode and the details as well.
The devs also teased an all new trailer for the event and have given a heads up for the fans to look out for the trailer. Judging by the looks of it, it seems like the trailer would reveal or tease something bigger than just this event.
