Based in Seattle, Washington the American multinational technology company Amazon primarily deals in e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming and artificial intelligence. Recently, Amazon launched Echo Show 8, Echo Buds, Echo Glow, Echo Frames and Echo Loop in the US.
Amazon is offering Amazon Echo 2nd gen for merely $70. It won’t be wrong if we speculate the reason behind the sudden price drop could be clearance of stock of the older generation Amazon Echo.
This is not the first time we’re seeing a price drop on the Amazon Echo 2nd Gen and certainly not the lowest price ever. Amazon lists two finishes, Oak and Walnut, and this is definitely the the lowest ever price for the wooden finish variants.
Amazon Echo 2nd generation has features like voice control seamless music playback across platforms like Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify etc. It can also voice control Smart home devices and also connect to friends and family via calls or messaging.
Best Buy the e-commerce website in US also lists Amazon Echo and has more variety than Amazon’s offering. It comprises of Charcoal (fabric), Dark Wood Walnut, Heather Gray (fabric), Light Wood Oak, and Sandstone (fabric).
Of all the variants, the wood finished seems to be more profitable as the price came down more in its particular case. The wood finished Amazon Echo was highly priced earlier compared to all the variants.
We have no insights as to why the Echo is discounted or for how long will it discounted. No word on whether its a permanent price cut. We’ll update this post if any further information is received. Until then we suggest you to get one as long as stocks last, if you were planning on buying an Amazon Echo.
