Airtame is a well known name in the wireless screen-mirroring solutions market. The company currently offers a product named Airtame which can be easily plugged into a digital signage like TV or projector, allowing users to share their screen from any device.
The digital signage solution has proved to be quite popular, given that the Copenhagen-based company managed to ship over 100,000 Airtame unit so far.
Building on the success of their first product, the company has now launched Airtame 2, which it says is much more than a cable-free solution.
So what’s new? Well, this second generation wireless HDMI solution from the company focuses on speed, as it comes with four times the amount of RAM and a brand new WiFi chip. While the former means speedy firmware/software updates, the latter is aimed at offering a faster and more reliable internet connection.
The device also features doubled wireless range enhancement, Kensington Lock slot for enhanced security, and an LED indicating the device’s current state. Finally, the device also comes with magnetic wall mount, meaning it’s easy to set up.

Furthermore, the company has also launched four new Homescreen apps, which are essentially integrations with Trello, Unsplash, World Clock, and Google Slides. So now you have even more options to display relevant content on your screens when they’re not being used actively.
Here’s what CPO and co-founder Brian Kyed has to say about the new device:
Airtame 2 takes a huge step forward in design and functionality. Where the main objective of our first product was to get rid of cables, Airtame 2 will empower people in professional settings to use screens and projectors to their full potential – and unlock better collaboration. After years of product development and user feedback, we’re proud to deliver Airtame 2, which is not only extremely easy to use but will also improve any forward-thinking workspace
As for pricing, Airtame 2 carries a price tag of $399.
