In today’s digital world the sheer number of passwords we have to create and remember has become a hassle. Banks, social media accounts, emails, and utilities — everything needs a password in the digital world.
Password managers take the hassle out of creating and remembering strong passwords for you. It allows users to store, generate and manage their passwords for local applications and online services.
1Password is one such reliable and trusted password manager that has been around for quite some time.
After three years 1Password is gearing up to launch the next versions of 1Password apps on every platform. Promising that each one will be better and faster than before.
1Password has already released an early access version of the next-gen 1Password 8 for Windows as I pen this.
1Password 8 for Windows 10 has been totally redesigned from the bottom up and even has a dark mode now. It also comes with many new features and improvements like a new dashboard, a new password generator, better security and more.
Love the new design of the app, especially the dark mode. (Source)
The 1Password team recently did a Reddit AMA session, where a user asked whether the design changes made in the Windows app are coming to the Android app.
To the Redditors query, the 1Password founder replied that the design changes are in line for Android users too.
And soon they will update their app across all platforms, though no ETA was given.
Very excited to share the love with our Android friends. π€ We have great things in the works for every platform. I think you’re going to love what we have in store for Android. π (Source)
We are hopeful that 1Password will soon update its Android app and apps on other platforms too bringing the new design and features similar to the new windows app.
We will keep following the developments related to the popular password manager across platforms and keep you updated.
