PiunikaWeb was launched in 2017 with an aim to offer complex (or hard-to-find) tech-related information in a way that anybody can understand it. We stand out from the crowd in the sense that usually we break news stories – yes, we mainly bring you stuff that you’ll not find anywhere in the mainstream tech media.
Our stories have been picked up by some of the most popular websites/media outlets in the world, including Foxnews, Gizmodo, Wired, TechCrunch, Forbes, The Verge, Engadget, GSMArena, The Next Web, Macrumors, NDTV Gadgets 360, 9to5mac, ZDNet, Yahoo, Cnet, and BGR. Other popular publications in the list include Android Police, Android Authority, PhoneArena, Sammobile, XperiaBlog, AndroidHeadlines, iDownloadBlog, SlashGear, Neowin, Phandroid, GadgetsNow (Times Of India), and DNA India.
Many of our stories managed to create a big impact. For example, after we highlighted the ‘Motorola Moto Z2 Force ShatterShield peeling issue’, Motorola – which was charging a $50 fee to fix the problem – decided to wave off the fee.
PiunikaWeb has also been listed among ‘top Indian blogs’ by websites like The Windows Club and Bloggers Passion.
Here’s the team behind the website:

Yeah, you guessed it right. I am the Piunika of PiunikaWeb. The website is my brainchild. This idea struck me while dealing with apps (like Google Photos) that gradually become part of our life, but still when something goes wrong, most of us don’t know whom to approach. Even if you find information on the Web, it’s hard to comprehend, especially if you are not tech savvy. So the idea is to help those in a way they are seeking it.
I am an Electronics Engineer by profession, but have worn several hats so far – be it software coding, human resource management, or technical writing, I’ve done it all. Currently, I am juggling between taking care of my four-year old son, and brainstorming on how PiunikaWeb can create even more impact. This brings me to the person who is amazingly handling all the day-to-day activities on the website, a workhorse of a researcher and writer: Aparajita.

Currently, I am pursuing Ph.D (Psychology), and have been teaching the same for past four years. Coming to PiunikaWeb, I know it was a complete switch over, but the idea was appealing enough to put in all the effort it called for.
My work involves research, in-depth analysis, and writing the crux in an easy to understand manner. Oh, and yes, some of the photographs you see here are clicked by me. Overall, I am enjoying whatever I am doing, and hoping you’ll also feel the same reading all my articles.

My interest in technology and writing started back in 2010. Since then, I have written for many leading publications, including Computerworld, GSMArena, TechSpot, HowtoForge, LinuxJournal, and MakeTechEasier to name a few.
Here at PiunikaWeb, I started with covering smartphone related breaking stories as well as some other interesting stuff, but now I have switched over to more of an editorial role. I also take care of several operational aspects of the website. Some of my current responsibilities include training new writers, article reviews, and working with Piunika to make sure we’re progressing as envisioned.

I came from a mixed background of Statistics and Computer Science. My research domains included embedded computer systems, mobile computing and delay tolerant networks in post-disaster scenarios. Apart from tinkering with gadgets or building hackintosh, I like to hop on various subreddits and forums like MyDigitalLife and XDA.
At PiunikaWeb, my task is to cover breaking news stories on daily basis. While most of the stuff I cover is related to smartphones, I do foray into other technology-related fields if I stumble upon something interesting.
Hillary Keverenge
A technological pleb who enjoys life and the things it brings. Besides having my head wrapped around smartphones and the tech around them, I also enjoy dipping my fingers into the farm, music, sports, and, of course, food.

I have always been fascinated by technology and what it holds for our future. When I’m not writing on the latest updates and tech news, you’ll find me gaming.
I also play the guitar, drums, binge watch series on Netflix, and love exploring new places.
