Some LG C2 OLED users troubled by dead pixels on relatively new units

Successor to the LG C1, the LG C2 Smart TV lineup has got major improvements in picture quality and performance. The lineup also comes with a better sound system, more features, and a sleek design.

However, TV owners are unhappy as they are experiencing some issues with their relatively new panels.

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), some LG C2 OLED users are getting dead pixel on their relatively new TV units. Customers are also getting stuck pixels on their TV screens.

However, this is not a new issue, as some LG C2 series TV owners (1,2) faced similar problems on their new TV a few months ago.

And understandably, users are disappointed to be experiencing such issues on one of the top-of-the-line television brands.

One of those affected says that they are getting a black line on the top of their new LG C2 OLED TV. However, they claim that there is no large color banding.

Another LG C2 65″ smart TV owner alleges to have got 1 dead pixel along with a few stuck pixels on their recently purchased television.

@LGUSSupport I’ve now talked to 10 agents to replace a brand new OLED C2 tv which has dead pixels.

Customers have tried restarting their TVs, tinkering with settings, and trying some of the workarounds mentioned online, but all in vain.

The affected users are now even thinking of getting their TVs exchanged for new ones by the company.

Fortunately, we did come across a potential workaround that may help solve your problem. It is recommended that you run the pixel cleaning program from the OLED Panel care menu.
