Kick is a streaming service that aims to compete with some of the most popular services like Twitch. It also claims to provide more financial benefits to creators than any other streaming platform.

The company recently launched a dedicated app client for iOS but users are facing some issues with it.

Kick users unable to start live stream on the iOS app

Multiple Kick users (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) are facing an issue where they are unable to live stream from the new iOS app. As of now, the app only allows one to engage with people and watch live streams.

It is alleged that one needs to log into the platform’s website to create a live stream. Also, some claim that the app is buggy and they sometimes even get a black screen with just the company symbol.

One user says that they can neither stream directly with it nor respond to someone directly in the chat. Allegedly, one can only communicate via tagging with @.

Some have even questioned the point of releasing a streaming app without live streaming support. Users are now requesting Kick to bring support for live streaming on the iOS app.

No official response

Unfortunately, the company has not officially responded to the matter. Also, we were unable to find any workarounds for the time being.

But we are hopeful that the company will allow users to start a live stream in the iOS app soon.

Having said that, we’ll keep an eye on the issue where Kick iOS app users are unable to start a live stream and update this story to reflect noteworthy information.
