Here’s the crux of the article in video form:
WWE 2K23, the newest iteration in the popular wrestling video game series, has received mixed feedback since its release.
Players have been complaining about repeated crashing, especially in online matches and create-a-wrestler (CAW) mode.
WWE 2K23 crashing in online matches or CAW mode
According to reports (1,2,3,4,5), a significant portion of the complaints are coming from PS5 players. Some users on Twitter have even claimed that the game crashes as soon as it starts.
@WWEgames I hope the next patch will resolve the issue of my game crashing, cause it has already crashed like 4 – 5 time on my PS5

My CAW keeps crashing when I save it in #WWE2K23 on PS5. Can you help @WWEgames

Despite the widespread reports of crashes, there is no official fix available at the moment.
Potential workaround
However, some users on Reddit have suggested a temporary workaround that has helped them with the issue.
Make your CAW in the regular mode and then import it into MyRise. You shouldn’t leave CAW running more than an hour and save regularly.

To do this, you can use the Create a Wrestler (CAW) tool in regular mode and then import it into MyRise.
It is important to save your progress frequently and avoid running CAW for more than an hour to prevent crashes.
While this method seems to have worked for some users, it’s not a guaranteed fix for everyone.
Some spent hours creating CAW and it crashed making them question whether the company is capable of producing a game that doesn’t require months of patches to play.
Others shared their personal experience and expressed disappointment with 2K22 due to crashes and corrupted CAW files, and remain undecided on whether to purchase 2K23.
2K Sports has not yet released an official statement regarding the crashing issues in WWE 2K23. But we hope that they’ll address it soon and provide a lasting solution.
