Google Ads is one of the most popular advertising platforms in the world used by businesses of all sizes to promote their products and services.

While the platform is known for its effectiveness in reaching targeted audiences, some users are expressing dissatisfaction with the poor state of customer support provided by the company.

Google Ads users unhappy with customer support

Some Google Ads users have taken to online forums like Reddit to report (1,2,3,4,5) their frustration about the poor or lack of customer support from the company.

Where the hell is adwords support? I keep calling and getting transferred to their “adwords support specialists”, and hung up because of “health and safety of our representatives”

In some cases, users report that support is entirely non-existent, leaving them to fend for themselves when facing issues with the platform.

Users are reporting that support response times are extremely slow, with some reporting waiting hours or even days/months for a response to their support ticket.

This is causing frustration and lost revenue for businesses that rely on Google Ads to drive traffic and sales.

The lack of support is also a concern for those who are new to the platform and need assistance getting started.

Without proper guidance, new users can easily become overwhelmed and frustrated with the platform, leading them to abandon their campaigns altogether.

So, what’s causing the poor state of customer support at Google Ads?

Some users reckon that Google isn’t the right agency to handle the current marketing pressure, which sure is tough.

Nonetheless, here are some points suggested by a user on Reddit that can help you with the problem:

– check what you’ve got set for conversions and make sure only important ones are set to primary.

– if your conversion is calls, I would get a tool like callrail and make sure you can pass the gclid info through to that. Then I would create an offline conversion that you upload manually to give Google accurate data on good calls and make that the only primary.

– make sure you’re restricting your ad reach to the local area you want it to show in.

– depending on the type of company, I would restrict the ads to only run in search – no display, no search partners.

– get that in place and focus your account optimisation on max conversions.

– over time, move it to max conversions (target CPA)

Despite these challenges, there are still ways for Google Ads users to get the support they need.

The company provides a variety of resources, including a help center with articles and tutorials, a community forum where users can ask and answer questions, and a support team that can be reached via phone or email.

While these resources may not provide the instant gratification that some users are looking for, they are valuable tools for troubleshooting and finding solutions to common issues.

That said, we hope that the Google Ads team understands the immediate need to address the issue of poor customer support in order to provide users with a smooth experience.
