Adobe Photoshop is one of the most widely used software that helps you with image manipulation, graphic design, and digital art. It also comes with a multitude of features, fonts, effects, and brush or pen tools.
To keep users engaged and interested, the company frequently updates the software to keep it up and running. However, not every update fixes issues, some rather create one.
For instance, the Adobe Photoshop v23.3 update severely affected the ‘Liquify Zoom’ feature in terms of performance.
Adobe Photoshop rulers & guides not visible or not turning on
Some users are now reporting that the Adobe Photoshop rulers and guides have gone missing or disappeared or sometimes won’t even turn on.
After today’s update the rulers and guides are not visible and will not turn on with the crtl R. Anyone else have this issue? How do I fix this?

According to reports, the bug appears to have popped up after the v24.2 update. It is incredibly frustrating for users as the absence of rulers is making it impossible for them to create guides.
Moreover, it seems that it’s affecting users irrespective of the system they are using. It doesn’t appear even when the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + R) is used.
Those affected can try the following steps to fix this issue temporarily as suggested by one of the users.
I was having this same problem, but just turned on “Snap to — Guides” under the View menu, and my rulers are back.

Fortunately, Adobe is aware of the issue where the Photoshop rulers and guides are not visible or won’t turn on.
We do hope that Adobe resolves this annoying bug at the earliest. Meanwhile, you can try the workaround as mentioned before.
Having said that, we’ll keep an eye on the latest developments and update this article as we come across any new information.
