LG OLED TVs make up a popular choice among TV users because of their infinite contrast ratio, per-pixel dimming for HDR, and various other goodies.

However, it seems users have been facing a number of issues with LG smart TVs lately. For instance, we previously highlighted auto-dimming bug and some also reported audio stuttering issue with Freeview HD channels.

Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting on LG OLED TVs

According to reports, some LG OLED TV users (1,2,3,4,5) are now experiencing issues with their Wi-Fi connection as it keeps disconnecting constantly.

Hey – I’ve gone through 2x Oleds (Bless Best Buy’s return policy) due to them randomly crapping out on the internet connection or buffering – Switched from LG to Sony Bravia Oled on 3rd TV and its a lot better but still disconnecting, especially on Hulu Live

It appears that this issue has been troubling users for months (1,2) and despite the TVs receiving numerous software updates, these problems are still present today.

Owing to this issue, LG users are unable to watch certain content as the TVs would not connect to apps like Netflix, Hulu, or YouTube for that matter.

Unfortunately, this issue hasn’t been acknowledged yet. But an affected user suggests moving the router closer to the TV as a workaround and connecting to the internet using ethernet rather than Wi-Fi.

Since LG has not commented on the OLED TV Wi-Fi connection issue so far, agitated users shouldn’t anticipate an official remedy any time soon.

We hope that they come up with a fix at the earliest and that users can watch their favorite content without any trouble while connected to the Wi-Fi.
