The Samsung Galaxy S21 series came earlier this year with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 out of the box. The flagship series from Samsung is in line to get major Android updates till Android 14 with security patches for at least four years.
The series includes the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra all of which have the Snapdragon 888 5G (US and China variants) or Exynos 2100 (International variants) SoC.
However, there have been no comments from Samsung on the matter so far and only time will tell when and how the OEM plans to proceed with the Android 12 update.
Thus we will keep tabs on all the updates, bugs, and issues related to Samsung Galaxy S21 series in this post.
Samsung Galaxy S21 series software updates
As mentioned earlier, the Galaxy S21 series already offers the latest stable release from Google i.e., Android 11. Now, the wait is on for the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update.
Back in July, a Samsung official reported on the Samsung Community that the One UI 4.0 (Android 12) beta update for the Galaxy S21 series was coming soon, however, that post was later removed.
With all that in mind, we will be tracking all the software updates, including security patches and bug fixes, coming to the Galaxy S21 devices in this section.
For major software system updates like Samsung’s One UI 4.0, bugs and issues are an inevitability. While Samsung has been doing a pretty fine job with its software updates lately, there still have been some problems with the Galaxy S21 series devices.
Among them, the issues with a camera where the Ultra Portrait was not working and the low call waiting for notification sound problem.
With all that in mind, it is imperative to keep an eye on all the bugs and issues that are still present or may occur on the Galaxy S21 series in the future. That said, be sure to keep an eye on this section for updates regarding the same.
