It received an update in the month of January that seems to have caused some issues for a major section of the player base.
Affected ones report that the game now crashes even more frequently on their device. This kills the joy and excitement of many.
Blue Archive crashing on iOS devices after January update
According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple users are experiencing constant crashes while playing the game on their iOS-based devices.
Players allege that the game shuts down after regular intervals of time. The problem persists even when using the lowest graphics settings.
The frequent crashes are ruining the gameplay experience for some and making the game unplayable. Some people experience crashes every time they try to enter a game event or Total Assault.
Also, sometimes the game would crash when one entered the Student Profile screen.
An iPhone 10 XR owner complains that the game crashes so frequently that they can barely get a thing done. They have to allegedly reset their game five to ten times before they can play it properly.
A player on Twitter also says that they have to launch the game more than 3 times per session.

I wish the crashing issue could be fix since I use an iPhone 10 XR. Game crashes so much I can barely get thing done on it before resetting over 5 to 10 times.

Some even say that they haven’t been able to access the cafe ever since they have updated the game on their iOS devices. The constant crashing in Blue Archive has made some annoyed and irritated.
Gamers are now requesting the developers to fix the persistent issue, so that they can enjoy the gameplay as it was originally intended.
Official acknowledgment
Fortunately, the developers have officially acknowledged the issue and stated that the problem started after the January 17 update. The issue is currently being investigated, and no official ETA for a bug fix has been provided yet.
It is worth mentioning that, according to the Nexon Portal, the game is supposed to get an update on 14th February 2023. So, players can try installing the new patch and see if it fixes the crashing problem.
We do hope that Nexon Games soon resolves the problem.
