For a few hours now, players who bought Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition have been able to enjoy the game thanks to the 72-hour early-access program.

However, it seems that there are players who are experiencing some initial issues such as the game not loading or starting on PS5 consoles.

And now, it appears that multiple Hogwarts Legacy players are unable to link or connect their WB accounts with the game.

Hogwarts Legacy players unable to link WB Games account

Currently, there is an issue that prevents linking a WB Games account with the game. Apparently, everything is because the service is down and not working.

According to reports, affected Hogwarts Legacy players only get a ‘Something went wrong’ error message when trying to link a WB Games account.

@HogwartsLegacy @WBGamesSupport hello I’m having trouble verifying my email for my WBgames account and I’m also having difficulty trying to connect to my wizarding world account to WB games because it’s not letting me login to wbgames.

Fortunately, the Warner Bros. Games team is aware of the issue and investigating. However, there is no ETA for a fix yet.

In the meantime, there’s a potential workaround you can try:

The origin of the problem is not yet officially known. But it could be due to an overload on the servers due to high interest in the game. Granted, things should stabilize sooner than later.

Update 1 (Feb. 8, 2023)

11:24 am (IST): According to a community manager, the issue with account linking has now been resolved.

With so many players jumping into Hogwarts Legacy at launch, we experienced some issues with account linking due to high demand. Our teams quickly worked to resolve the issue and it should be functioning again. You’ll need to fully close and relaunch the game to claim rewards. (Source)
