Elon Musk is quite relentless when it comes to Twitter and the introduction to various new features bears testimony to this fact.

Twitter Blue subscription is undoubtedly one of the major features brought to the micro-blogging site. However, there have been many issues with it too.

For instance, some users previously complained about the unavailability of Twitter Blue in their respective countries. We also witnessed how it caused an issue where it prevented subscribers from changing their usernames.

A number of users (1,2,3,4,5,6) are now reporting an issue where the micro-blogging site claims their account is not eligible for Twitter Blue.

So I’m getting a message that my account is ineligible. It’s not a new account and handle/name hasn’t changed recently. I just want edit features back 🙁

It’s quite surprising for many as Twitter recently announced that the feature is now available on the web and iOS. But it’s now giving an error message saying ‘Sorry, your account is not eligible for Twitter Blue at this time’.

It is very confusing for some as they are unable to access the feature even after paying for it. While others are frustrated as they are unable to use various Twitter Blue features like Edit Tweet, reader mode, and more.

It has also led several others to believe that the feature is indeed broken since even after trying several times it just gets timed out.

Moreover, even after fulfilling all the basic requirements for a Twitter Blue subscription, some are unable to access the option.

No official word

Unfortunately, Twitter hasn’t commented on the issue where it’s showing an error message to a number of users.

There’s also no workaround that can help users get their Twitter Blue feature temporarily.

We’ll keep tabs on the latest developments and update this article as and when we come across something noteworthy.
