[Updated] Sky: Children of the Light daily quests or tasks locked, issue acknowledged

Sky: Children of the Light is an open-world social adventure game with a subtle story of exploration and healing. The game is developed and published by Thatgamecompany.

Initially released for iOS in 2019, Sky: Children of the Light is now available on Nintendo Switch, Android, and Microsoft Windows.

According to multiple reports, Sky: Children of the Light players are facing an issue where the daily quests or tasks are locked for them (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9).

In Sky: Children of the Light, there is Quest Giver Spirit in Home from which players can collect four quests each day. Upon completion of these daily quests, players are rewarded with one candle for each of them.

However, several Sky players discovered when they logged in today that their daily quests or tasks were completely locked for them.

Due to the fact that they are entirely losing out on their daily rewards (candles), gamers have been left displeased with the game as a result.

why are my daily quests locked? Logged on today, collected my daily quests from the statue at home, and it says all my quests are locked. Anyone know how I fix it? I’ve already completed the season of shattering, so it’s just bonus candles now, but still, it’s very annoying 🙃 TIA!

Help @thatskygame the daily quests won’t unlock for me so I can’t complete them. My friend is also having this issue. Any other android players run into this today?

This issue is not restricted to a particular platform and players are left wondering whether they will be compensated for these rewards or not.

Fortunately, Sky: Children of the Light support is already aware of the issue and working on a fix, but an ETA has not been revealed yet.

10:37 am (IST): The game support team on Twitter has confirmed that the issue with daily quests or tasks being locked has now been resolved.

03:18 pm (IST): It seems that the issue where daily quests are locked has resurfaced again as fresh reports from those affected can be seen on Twitter (1, 2).
