Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord crashing issue after v1.0.1 patch reported by many (potential workaround)

TaleWorlds Entertainment’s Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is an action role-playing video game that lets you undertake various quests in a vast medieval sandbox.

The game also lets players command and fight alongside their troops in first or third-person in real-time battles using a skill-based combat system.

However, many Mount Blade II: Bannerlord players (1,2,3,4,5) have been reporting an issue where the game keeps crashing after the v1.0.1 update.

Games been crashing every orther battle since the most recent update, anyone else having these issues? Game is filled with so many bugs I feel like it shouldn’t have been released for another 3-6 months.

According to reports, crashing is triggered by almost anything during the gameplay including entering in and out of the main menu, or while booting.

We even highlighted the ‘corrupted save’ issue recently and turns out it is also more or less because of these frequent crashes.

The issue is quite frustrating as it prevents some players from completing various quests or even progressing in the game in general.

Potential workaround

We have come across a workaround that can help fix the crashing issues temporarily. It involves removing the traces of the game on Steam before reinstalling it.

Unfortunately, the developers are yet to comment on the issue so affected players will have to wait indefinitely for the team to come up with a permanent solution.

We hope that the issues get fixed soon so that players can play the game without any interruptions.
