Overwatch 2 'stats tracking system' reportedly limited, players demand extensive stats

Developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch 2 is an FPS multiplayer game launched on October 4, 2022, as a sequel to 2016’s Overwatch.

Ever since its launch, the game has managed to gain millions of gamers around the world, thanks to the popularity of the original Overwatch. It is available on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and Windows.

With that said, Overwatch 2 players are now encountering yet another problem with the game that’s further deteriorating their gaming experience.

According to multiple reports doing rounds, gamers are complaining that the stats tracking system on Overwatch 2 is limited and does not provide enough data (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

Usually, FPS games offer stats such as how many games they’ve played, how many kills they have, and how many games they’ve won (besides checking the challenge progress). This helps them determine their progress.

However, Overwatch 2 players don’t have such perks as the game makers didn’t provide an effective stats tracking system. Gamers are now frustrated and demanding an extensive stats-tracking system.

Furthermore, the limited stats system also affects Twitch drops events. Since the game does not track the number of hours a player has watched the stream, they are unsure how much time is left before they get the drop.

My buddies and I have created a spreadsheet for tracking this, and just put that up on the other monitor. Resorting to that kind of thing is generally a pretty bad sign

As you can see from the reports above, some players have to track their records by either creating spreadsheets or using external timers (1, 2) so that they don’t miss out on Twitch drops, which isn’t an ideal solution.
