In today’s world, there are multiple applications or services designed for those who prefer to meet people through the Internet. For instance, Tinder is one of the most popular apps in the segment.
Tinder allows you to chat with people if you previously had a ‘match’ with them. People are located at a distance close to the user by default, although the app also allows you to modify the location.
The service even offers a monthly subscription that you can pay to get multiple perks. For example, you will have a certain priority over other users, unlock hidden matches, among others.
However, currently many Tinder users are receiving multiple repeated or false notifications of received messages and matches.
Tinder sending repeated or false notifications
According to reports, many Tinder users are dealing with notifications of alleged new messages. But when they enter the app, there is no new message available.
is Tinder working today?
I got those glitchy notifications yesterday where it said I had messages but didn’t. Now today, seems like either my matches don’t respond or unmatched me. Can’t tell of its still buggy or if another round of ghosting is happening lol

Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing their messages not showing up?!
I keep getting notifications from matches, but no messages pop up. It just looks like I got ghosted by ten people mid-conversation. It’s genuinely driving me insane

The bug is confusing many users as they don’t know if they are dealing with fake notifications or messages that are getting lost along the way.
Matches and messages notifications affected
Not only messages seem to be affected by the problem. Users are also receiving false or repeated notifications about new matches.
Why have I gotten nearly 30 @Tinder notifications saying I’m matching with people when I’ve actually only gotten a handful of matches 🏃♂️🏃♂️

Anyone else fully get message/match notifications from tinder and then when you open the app those messages/matches are simply not there and never load???

There is still no official acknowledgment of the issue from the Tinder team. We will update this story as events unfold.
